Inspired by nature and human creativity, I love to explore. I love to explore both outer and inner worlds, and am happy doing those things alone, and with others. A fairly recent transplant to the Palouse, I’m thoroughly enjoying getting to know the local communities – plant, animal, and human. I also love exploring the larger world. My travels have taken me across the US and Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica, and Japan, and my feet are getting awfully itchy again. Wherever I am, it’s usually not far from water – rivers, streams, ponds, lakes, tide pools, seas and oceans.

My human exploration has led me to Buddhism. I meditate irregularly, and am working on putting my practice into practice. I love communication in all its forms. I’ve been a librarian and editor/writing instructor, and teach English. Good nonverbal communication, however, is awfully hard to beat.

I'm an educator, currently for international students. I love the cultural mix it brings, as well as the fun of exploring language with others.
I’m really good at getting lost, finding my way, doing good, doing nothing, making love, making do, keeping my head above water, staying out of hot water, listening even though I am slightly hard of hearing, and cooking (maybe cooking something up with you).

I tend to like foreign and indie films, music, literature and food. I also like local and regional identities and expresssions.
